He's had may roles, including guitarist, singer, collaborator, songwriter, and many more. The fact that he held all these titles during his lifetime and performed at his best in all of them was truly a testament to what a great musician he was. His contributions to R&B and Soul were much different than those of his contemporaries; his raspy, harsh voice contrasting heavily with the smooth-talking tenors and baritones that dominated R&B. The uniqueness and style that he had gave him the versatility to branch out into other genres, collaborating with the likes of Rae & Christian and Gorillaz. Rest in peace, Bobby.
