JD Vance went after former President Obama for heaven forbid telling the truth about what their playbook is. As The Guardian reported:

Barack Obama addressed the recent killing of Charlie Kirk and told a crowd in Pennsylvania on Tuesday the country was “at an inflection point”, but that political violence “is not new” and “has happened at certain periods” in US history.

Obama added that despite history, political violence was “anathema to what it means to be a democratic country”.

The former president made the remarks at the Jefferson Educational Society, a non-profit in Erie, Pennsylvania. He explicitly denounced political violence, addressing the fatal attacks this year of Kirk and the Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman. He called both incidents “a tragedy” and said Donald Trump had further divided the country rather than work to bring people together.

“There are no ifs, ands or buts about it: the central premise of our democratic system is that we have to be able to disagree and have sometimes really contentious debates without resorting to violence,” he said.

Obama warned that the response to Kirk’s assassination last week, which has kicked off a debate about free speech and the incitement to violence, could serve to deepen political and cultural divisions.

“There’s been some confusion, I think, around this lately, and, frankly, coming from the White House and some of the other positions of authority that suggest, even before we had determined who the perpetrator of this evil act was, that somehow we’re going to identify an enemy,” he said.

Vance made an appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime on Fox this Tuesday and was asked about the remarks by Watters, and Vance, of course, used the occasion to lie about their attempts to use Kirk's murder as a bludgeon to stifle free speech, before attacking all of their favorite liberal targets.

WATTERS: Barack Obama says your White House is dividing the country and you're exploiting Kirk's death to attack Democrats.

VANCE: We're not exploiting Charlie Kirk's death to do anything except for achieve justice, and I think of Barack Obama, I haven't seen that comment, Jesse, but if he said that, that's absolutely disgusting.

What we're trying to do is understand how young people are getting radicalized and who is funding all of these efforts at radicalization.

We saw this in the summer of 2020. Now thank God that wasn't primarily... actually, over 20 people, over 20 people died in the riots in the summer of 2020.

That is political terrorism, but it's not just the people who were killing the cops. It's not just the people who are engaging and throwing the Molotov cocktails and the riots.

Where was the money coming from? Who was organizing this violent activity? That is not going after Democrats, unless by implication you're saying every single Democrat is involved in planning political violence.

If that's true, then the problem is on Barack Obama's side.

We're going to get to the bottom of the truth and we're going to stop the political violence, and we're going to do it however we have to do it, of course within the constitutional limits that Charlie loved so much.

Yeah, bullshit. There's one side that's been organizing political violence, and it's his.
