Nestor Torres is a wonderful flute player and a tremendous guy. I knew of him from friends, and I met him over twenty years ago after he taught a master class, and I took a lesson from him, and we became fast friends.
Nestor studied with the same teacher I had in college, the late great principal flutist from the NY City Ballet, Andrew Loyla.
A few weeks ago, he came to Venice, CA, and I went to see him perform.
He was awesome.
