Donald Trump lashed out on Truth Social to disgracefully attack legendary Hollywood director Rob Reiner following his death in what is determined to be an "apparent homicide." Both Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found by one of their daughters with their throats slit inside their Los Angeles home. The couple's son is a person of interest.
While people, including MAGA influencers, displayed shock over the horrific killings, the president made it all about himself in a wholly unacceptable post.
"A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS," Trump wrote.
"He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before," he added. "May Rob and Michele rest in peace!"
Truth Social users staunchly disagreed with the president's attack.
"Very tacky, Mr. President," @LittleFawks wrote.
@AntA02 wrote, "Didn’t agree with Rob’s views or what he said but no one deserves to go out like that."
"Let’s take this down," @HomeGritz wrote. "They have passed."
Of course, there were others in the MAGA world who approved of Trump's disgusting post.
"Tacky is what I voted for," LEGOJames wrote. "Some other people voted for cackling slut. I much prefer tacky."
But not everyone lacks the empathy gene.
