Donald Trump held his first Board of Peace meeting today and pledged $10 billion of US funds to help stabilize Gaza.

Other member nations have pledged $7 billion on top of that, but you know what I think about pledges under the Trump administration. Pledges are a propaganda vehicle for Trump to lie about his successes to the public.

As usual, Trump had a hard time staying awake.

Most of our allies failed to participate in this ridiculous dog and pony show. A few showed up as observers only. Among the missing:

• Slovenia

Only Hungarian strongman Victor Orban showed up from the region.

At the same time this farce was taking place, the Defense Department under Whiskey Pete is building up the American military presence in the Middle East to threaten Iran.

This includes warships, submarines, air defenses, troops, which in service of a possible attack on Iran. Aircraft carriers the USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln have been sent. They carry thousands of personnel, dozens of planes and vast caches of precision weapons.

This is sick. Threatening to start a war in the Middle East because your poll numbers are in the tank and you love playing with the military like a child plays with plastic army soldiers.

The consequences of a full-throttled attack on Iran is off the charts.

Outside of our ally nations not attending, The Vatican declined to go as well. I agree with Pope Leo wholeheartedly for not attending this moronic and narcissistic endeavor by demented Donald. Cardinal Pietro Parolin reportedly said they are perplexed by much of the plans for this glorified Trump gathering. He stated that, "the UN that manages these crisis situations.
