2026 Oscars Awards: Open Thread

I wrote this back in 2022, but it's still apropos.

Since I was a kid I've been watching Academy awards.

Like Roy Edroso, I too have a "childhood love of the dumb old Academy Awards."

The first one I can remember was in 1970. I loved "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." I wasn't even allowed to see "Midnight Cowboy."

ABC is carrying tonight's event.

You can livestream it here. Conan O'Brien will return for his second year as host.
