The worst president in the history of the United States keeps finding ways to be even worser.

Karoli Kuns recently reported on a Republican plan to raise $200 billion to pay for Donald Trump’s unwanted, unnecessary war against Iran with cuts to health care. Now, Trump wants to get rid of health care altogether. Also, daycare and probably everything else that isn’t for the military and his foreign wars.

On Wednesday, perched behind a podium festooned with a garishly gold-plated eagle, the felonious sex predator who conned Americans into believing he’d lower the cost of living announced he plans to make life more expensive. That is, if you can stay alive at all in Trump’s America.

First, the haggard-looking Trump declared his intention to eliminate daycare for the sake of his unpopular war. “The United States can’t take care of daycare. That has to be up to a state,” he said. “We’re fighting wars. We can’t take care of daycare. You got to let a state take care of daycare, and they should pay for it, too.”

Trump wants to spend so much money on his war he wants to eliminate Medicaid and Medicare, too. “It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these individual things. They can do it on a state basis. … We have to take care of one thing, military protection,” he added.

Trump could raise a lot of federal money by increasing taxes on the wealthiest. Funny how the guy who has enriched himself and his family to the tune of $4 billion in just the first 14 months of his second term didn’t say a word about any sacrifices he’ll be making. Ditto about son Barron joining that all important military.

Nor did he say anything about dropping his demand for $230 million of taxpayer dollars from the Department of Justice.

If Trump is trying to make himself even less popular, he’s doing a great job. By every other measure, he becomes more and more unfit for office every day.

There’s a general strike planned for May 1. Trump just gave us new reasons for joining.

Trump: We can't take care of daycare. We're a big country. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.
