Fox and Friends came up with laughable opposition research against Michigan Democratic nominee El-Sayed by flipping out because he likes Ted Lasso.
The country is suffering under Trump's economy, the Iran war, energy costs, and rent costs. ICE agents murder US citizens and act like Trump's private SS death squad, unaccountable to no one, but Fox and Friends were more outraged over things that have nothing to do with the country at large.
Brian Kilmeade was spitting; he was so upset that El-Sayed may have an issue with fireworks and football, but likes Ted Lasso.
KILMEADE: Abdul is a former captain of his high school team. I like to see proof of that. Loves Michigan football on Saturdays. Really? I heard he hates it. I just listened to him. And celebrates the 4th of July with fireworks. Yes, he said they suck, like the next Michigander cherry-pick comments from all podcasts.
No, he said this directly.
EARHARDT: 2 years ago.
---
KILMEADE: If Mike Rodgers should, can't score big-time political points with these ads and with these debates, I'd be sure I'd be shocked! How about the fact that he says, 'I like a coach. I like a coach like the one on HBO. (It's Apple TV, idiot)
There was more like with what's the soccer?
TODD: Ted Lasso
KILMEADE: He says I like a coach more like Ted Lasso, who after the team loses sat around says let's feel sad together.
One's a comedy, one's an actual real life sport. What is going on? You would not think this guy could be running for anything, let alone get the nomination.
This is the state of the Republican Party and their media minions. The Fox and Friends co-hosts understand that Republicans may lose Congress in November, so they are trying to find anything to smear Democratic candidates.
Many Americans are not fans of football and are leery of fireworks, but that's the new culture war Fox is promoting to try and save the GOP.
