Of the many reptilian Republicans running the federal government under Trump, Brooke Rollins flies under the radar, but she's truly one of the most horrific of the lot.
After kicking millions of people off the SNAP program for no viable reason, Rollins continually labels those they unceremoniously rejected as frauds and deadbeats without ever offering up proof to support Trump's tax cuts and the DOGE insanity.
Thursday, after announcing changes to what is allowed to be purchased using SNAP, she gleefully attacked SNAP recipients they forced out, trying to justify Trump's cruelty.
ROLLINS: All the Republicans in Congress really protecting the American taxpayer dollars.
Now to receive the SNAP dollar, you now have to either look for work for 20 hours a week, work for 20 hours a week, or volunteer for 20 hours a week.
This is not hard.
And by the way, if you have small children or if you're elderly and you can't do any of that, then you can get a waiver.
But we're now expecting people to work again.
This is the only right thing to do since they're living on the taxpayer dollar.
As the Secretary of Agriculture, she should know that in 2023, her own department says that , "four in five (79%) SNAP households included either a child, an elderly individual, or a non elderly individual with a disability. These households contained 88% of all SNAP participants and received 83% of all SNAP benefits.
Roughly 28% of SNAP households had earnings from work.
Under Trump, the debt is now $40 Trillion dollars.
SNAP benefits average out to about $366 per household.
