Republican Bryon Donalds continues to expose how useless he would be as governor of the state for refusing to use science and instead defines the health and safety of Floridians against the backdrop of immigration.
On Sunday's Face the Nation, host Margaret Brennan asked about the state of vaccines in Florida.
"Florida is below the 95% immunization rate for herd immunity for measles," she said. "So is your message to Florida parents, get your kids vaccinated against that one?"
"No, actually, my message to Floridians and, quite frankly, to Americans is the reason why we have seen a measles outbreak in certain parts of the country is because of rampant illegal immigration into the United States from the previous administration,"
The question was not about immigration policy, but immunization.
The CBS host asked what evidence he had, and he offered none except to blame Joe Biden.
"What evidence do you have?" she asked.
"Margaret, before Joe Biden came to office, when our borders were basically secure," he said.
Donalds went on a minute-long rant, not answering her question and instead channeling Stephen Goebbels Miller.
"But number two, and I will tell you, we can talk vaccinations, but the real issue in health care is the cost for Americans and the cost for Floridians," Donalds said.
Wait, that's not talking about vaccines.
Vaccines do not drive up the cost of healthcare, liar. They are covered by Medicaid (Vaccines for Children (VFC) program and private insurance companies for families.
Donalds is fucking clueless about the state he wants to lead.
"Florida has a Vaccines for Children program that provides immunizations at no cost to eligible children through age 18. The state specifically lists uninsured, Medicaid-eligible, underinsured, and American Indian/Alaska Native children as eligible."
This is another disqualifying statement on his behalf.
Trump's MAGA base is mostly anti-vax lunatics, and Donalds fits right in.
