It was reported that two people just died in Pennsylvania due to measles-related complications on Tuesday. Still, Dr. Oz tried to pump the brakes on the report to defend the Trump administration's attacks on vaccinations by claiming the two may have had another illness on top of measles.
WTF?
That doesn't matter one iota. Oz was flummoxed that a Fox person would blame the deaths on measles.
"I do want to caution you, use the phrase I want to be thoughtful about because I don't want to fear monger and I don't want anyone in America concerned inappropriately," Oz said on Fox Business. "We don't know exactly what happened in Pennsylvania yet, we don't know if these children died from measles or they had another condition that was already attacking them and they just happened to get measles at the same time."
Oz makes no sense. Whether two people died solely from measles or from measles-related causes is the same thing.
If they had been vaccinated for measles, whether measles alone or measles-related causes were responsible is unimportant. Measles was a major factor in both deaths.
Oz then used the pandemic to denigrate people's responses to vaccines as a whole.
The only reason any American lost confidence in vaccines was because of all the lies and conspiracies Trump and his cult members put out during the lockdowns to undermine Dr. Fauci and Pres, Biden. Crackpots that blamed all vaccines on autism suddenly found a massive megaphone to promote their lies thanks to Trump.
Here's more stupidity.
"We've got to be honest and transparent with people, which is why we feel strongly that parents should have the right to decide what goes into the bodies of their children," Dr. Oz said.
The medical community was honestly trying to protect the public from the pandemic.
How does being honest and transparent allow parents who obviously have no medical training or medical experience to make medical decisions on vaccines based on crackpot social media conspiracies?
"Mothers are told what they have to do, and it doesn't make sense," Oz claimed.
Sure, it makes sense. If your child has diabetes and a doctor tells you to give them insulin, will you deny your child the treatment because you believe it's dangerous?
Another unqualified asshole making ridiculous comments that have serious ramifications on the health and safety of the country and its children.
