On Monday evening, Krash Patel, the googly-eyed head of the FBI, became the 10th member of the Trump crime syndicate to travel to Western Wisconsin to appear with Rep Drunken Van Orden as he tries desperately to cling to his congressional seat. The reason for the trip was not political (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) but was to sit and talk to 50 of their closest friends, who just so happen to be all the head honchos of law enforcement offices in the district.
The topic of the evening was how local police departments could cash in on some of that federal money being used for investigating fraud in SNAP and Medicare/Medicaid. Yes, you read that right. The guy who uses federal tax money so he can fly on a government plane to go drink it up in a locker room or to get drunk and see his girlfriend sing wanted to warn about fraud.
DVO also used the opportunity to play politics by accusing Governor Tony Evers of playing politics:
When asked about the resistance from Evers and Kaul and what Trump, GOP members of Congress and even the FBI can do about it, Van Orden said he’d prefer the governor gives up the data so the Trump administration can audit it.
“I would implore Gov. Evers to put aside his politics, because that’s all this is about, and turn over these rolls so that we can do the appropriate amount from the executive branch enforcement of this — because fraud is taking place in the state of Wisconsin. Governor Evers knows it,” said Van Orden. “That’s why he’s not releasing these lists.”
It hasn't been confirmed that after the event was over, DVO and Patel went to the nearest corner tavern and drank until closing time, but it would not be surprising.
