Wisconsin Rep. Glenn Grothman said he doesn't think Congress does enough for the rich and that it needs to do more.

Wisconsin Rep. Glenn Grothman apparently got lost and ended up at an Americans for Prosperity event in Michigan. Or maybe he heard they were giving away bratwursts. Either way, while there, someone made a mistake and handed Grothman a microphone. What happened next is that Grothman once again said the quiet part out loud:

And don't let anybody tell you that people running Congress right now are looking out for the rich. Actually, I think we should do a little more, but we don't, you know. Right now, we are doing all we can to help the middle class, right?

If I was designing a tax cut for the rich, I wouldn't talk about overtime. I wouldn't talk about car loans, right? We are aimed at helping the average guy, and that's why, when you talk to people in April, when their tax preparer finishes their tax return again and again and again and again, their refund is greater than they thought it was.

He thinks that Congress wasn't doing enough for the rich? The two biggest tax breaks for the ultra-rich weren't enough? Slashing safety nets for Americans wasn't enough? And speaking of overtime, that was just a political gimmick that didn't really help anyone.

It's time to put Grothman in the Golden Bratwurst Senior Living Center, and we could do that this November. Grothman has an opponent, Brad Smith, who is aiming to do just that. You can learn more about Ben, including how to help support him, at his website.
