It turns out that sneering at the troop families and sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln is not only because of MAGA callousness.
It’s also a cover up.
The reason sailors are out of needed supplies is “because Pete Hegseth hid the fact that Iran destroyed the main resupply base that the United States has in the gulf,” Senior National Security Reporter David Rohde explained on MS Now.
Secretary of Defense Hegseth “did not make that public in press conference after press conference,” Rohde continued, “and that is, again, the way that they have mishandled this war.”
It’s bad enough that our troops are bearing the brunt of Trump’s misbegotten war. But’s beyond disgusting for him and his toadies to smear them for needlessly suffering.
However, the Trump and puppets’ knee-jerk response to blame others for their own incompetence is likely to backfire here. “It is a basic political error to belittle the families of sailors, belittle sailors who are out on these boats for 12 months at a time and we are unable to resupply them,” Rohde added. “Why would the president belittle our service members and their families? It just makes no sense to me, politically.”
It’s because President Draft Dodger can’t own up to his mistakes and, rather than fix them, his only “tool” is to smear anyone who might expose any of his spectacular malfeasance. And his lickspittles are right there with him.
