While the rest of the right-wing media went into freakout mode over Sen. Jon Ossoff's jab at Trump and his aide Natalie Harp, Fox's Jesse Watters had a rare moment of candor. As we already discussed here, Ossoff hit Trump during a speech in Atlanta this past Sunday, telling the audience that Trump would rather build the White House ballroom and travel with Harp than “do the job” of President.'
Trump responded by attacking a reporter's children for daring to even ask him about it, and by calling Ossoff "Pee Wee Herman."
During a discussion on this Tuesday's The Five, Watters downplayed the comments and said he wasn't fazed by them:
On Tuesday’s edition of The Five, Fox News’ Dana Perino said to Watters, “It wasn’t a quip that just came rolling off the tongue. It was written into the speech.” Notably, the segment’s chyron read “SEXIST SMEAR.”
Watters responded, “Yeah, I mean, Natalie had bone cancer, and Trump saved her life.” Here, he’s referring to Harp’s claim that the Right to Try Act, which Trump signed into law in 2018, allowed her to access an experimental treatment she credits with saving her life.
The Fox News host continued:
To suggest that Trump surrounds himself with attractive women — I mean, yeah. He’s done that his whole life. I don’t think he’s very upset about the comment. Uh, am I fazed by this comment? No. Has Trump said so much worse? So much more sleazy things against other people? Yes! Have I defended those things? Absolutely!
So, I’m not gonna pretend I’m all hot and bothered about it, and the President doesn’t even care. He’s like, “What? Who? Who? Pee-Wee Herman? Next.”
Despite telling the truth about the fact that Dear Leader is awful and attacks people in much worse ways than the tepid stuff coming from Ossoff in comparison, Watters, of course, also lied as a user on Xitter noted:
.@JesseBWatters
No Jesse, Donald Trump did not save Natalie Harp’s life. https://t.co/5KXISPZQ9p
Harp claimed that she received “an FDA-approved immunotherapy drug for an unapproved use.”
Healthcare providers were already allowed to prescribe FDA-approved drugs for off-label…— Dan Cataneo 🌐 (@DCataneo) August 18, 2026
I'm enjoying the freakout since it draws attention to it and helps Ossoff. We'll see how long it takes for the rest of them to follow Watters' lead and stop talking about it, because it isn't helping Republicans or Trump to draw attention to his latest mistress, or nursemaid, or emotional support binky, or whatever the hell she is.
