When Democratic Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff singled out Natalie Harp during a campaign rally, he set off a bomb in MAGA world. Senator Ossoff blasted President Donald Trump, comparing the sacrifices of sailors on the USS Abraham Lincoln with Trump’s apparent focus on golfing, stock trading, and personal projects, like building his ballroom. Sen. Ossoff mentioned Natalie Harp because the 35-year-old aide and the president have an unusual relationship.
What Did Ossoff Actually Say About Natalie Harp?
Ossoff said Trump did not want to do his job. The New Republic reported the Georgia senator told the voters at a weekend rally:
“He golfs and trades stocks. See, he doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar.”
Ossoff only stated facts. Americans understand Trump isn’t interested in serving the people. He falls asleep during meetings almost daily and won’t answer questions about his actions (war, insider trading, personal enrichment… the list is long).

The over-the-top reaction to Ossoff's mention of Harp only draws attention to the Harp and Trump's relationship.

Sen. Ossoff is a fighter who doesn't resort to loud middle-school insults to make his point. The Georgia Senator hit Trump again last night on MSNow.
Ossoff continues to bait Trump at a campaign event today. The Senator's delivery is ICE cold.
Harp and Trump’s “Weird” Relationship
But let’s be honest, Trump’s bond with Harp is strange.
Democracy Now reported that Maggie Haberman, a reporter and author, describes Natalie as “something like a human binky” for the president.
Newsweek reported that Sarah Matthews, deputy press secretary during Trump’s first term, told CNN that Natalie Harp's relationship with Trump had ‘alarmed’ the Secret Service.
Matthews left Trump after the January 6 insurrection but revealed details about the bond between Harp and Trump. She said campaign staff thought Trump’s relationship with Harp was “weird” and tried to stop Harp from staying at Trump’s Bedminster, New Jersey golf club during the 2024 campaign. The former WH insider told CNN:
"So what did Natalie Harp do? She found a workaround. She stayed in the women's locker room all summer long. So I think that it's fair to point out the sycophancy of her in particular, and their close relationship."
Yup, THAT checks as stalker-ish.
According to The Daily Beast, Harp’s own brother says her bond with 80-year-old Trump is “very unhealthy.”
The Daily Beast went on to report:
"Natalie Harp has become a near-constant companion for the 80-year-old president, attending Oval Office meetings, carrying a portable printer to print out news stories she thinks he might like, and posting from his social media accounts late into the night."
