Natalie Harp is a weird woman with a sick obsession. She has a bunny-boiling, fatal attraction, Jodi Arias-level of fixation, and God-level adulation for Donald Trump. It is, honestly, scary.
Who is she? She is a former OAN reporter who falsely credits Donald Trump with saving her life. Harp is one of Trump's closest aides, traveling everywhere with Trump and acting as a "human printer", which is exactly what it sounds like - she carries a portable printer and prints out things to show him that are flattering. She was also one of the few people he took into the catering cart with him when he fled Air Force One in Turkey earlier this month.
Some of her letters were publicized in full on Thursday. They are...actually insane.
Some quotes:
- She is “unworthy” of him.
- “You are all that matters to me”
- “I don’t want to ever let you down.”
- She is envious of women “whose only job seems to be to talk with you and look pretty.”
- She misses the days when he would call, “and we’d talk about everything and nothing.”
- “We shouldn’t have to talk about work all the time!!”
Author Michael Wolff shared the letters, rather than holding them for another book, because he was told that people in the Trump campaign were worried about "how close she was to Trump." He said, "The relationship here is not a relationship that should exist in a professional setting."
Oh, you want more quotes? Ok.
- “I want things to always be right between us. I also know I’ve been distracted all week (forgetting to eat throughout the days, and even forgetting to sleep, and only catching a couple hours at a time).”
- "I see myself being lowered in your eyes and good opinion. That is the fear you see, because I never want to bring you anything but joy.”
- She also thanks the former and future President for being “my Guardian and Protector in this life.”
In another letter, she romanticizes being on the golf course with Trump, sounding like an obsessed schoolgirl with a scary crush:
- “We could be out on the Course, with no machines, and even forget what time it was! I didn’t have to be ‘Human Printer.’ I could take time to enjoy good conversation, and still get all my work done at the end of the day. In fact, I even had time to take long morning and evening walks to enjoy each Sunrise and Sunset (though I did forget to eat and sleep!).”
- About her mood, she writes to Trump, “I had no idea how rapidly I was approaching burnout, and starting to envy those whose only ‘job’ seems to be to talk with you and look pretty. I want that job!!”
- “So many times, I’m just trying to stay afloat with all that’s coming in for you, I look like a hunchback who didn’t have time to freshen up. (at least you know what I should look like)!”
The internet had thoughts:
These types of obsessions never end well - for either party. Yikes.
