Newmax host Rob Finnerty attacked Abdul El Sayed for winning the Democratic nomination for US Senator in Michigan. His attack was not over his policies or beliefs, but on his Muslim name.

It's amazing how quickly Finnerty turned into KKK Grand Master without a hint of self-awareness.

FINNERTY: And then you see this, what's happening tonight, right now.

A man named Abdul El Sayed is about to become the first Muslim socialist (he's a Democrat - Ed.) ever nominated for the United States Senate in Michigan.

And does he kinda look like somebody you might be familiar with?

Maybe that other socialist Muslim who's always smiling, the one in New York City.

But that's not Zoran Mandami, this is Abdul El Sayed, which isn't even his full name.

El Sayed: My whole name is Abdul Rahman Muhammad El Sayed.

That's my whole name.

FINNERTY: Yep, that's terrific.

Senator, that, what he just said from the state of Michigan in November, maybe.

This is happening in Michigan, by the way. Think about that, Michigan. You ever look around and ask yourself, what is happening in this country? Abdul El Sayed is not a symbol of progress, he is a symbol of what the left has done to this country.

An immigrant from another Muslim country who could become a senator.

Abdul El Sayed is not an immigrant, asshole.

He was born on October 31, 1984, in the Detroit suburb of Rochester Hills, Michigan. His parents were Egyptian immigrants. El-Sayed was an assistant professor of epidemiology at Columbia University from 2014 to 2015. He was the executive director of the Detroit Health Department and Health Officer for the City of Detroit from 2015 to 2017.

He was raised by his American stepmother, whose family reaches back to the 19th century.

He's a fucking American. As American as Rob Finnerty.

Finnerty did not mention a policy or even a lie about him, other than trying to paint him as one of those "others," an immigrant.

Finnerty attacked his name, his hair and skin color.

What do real fucking Michiganders look like, Finnerty?

This is disgusting.

Just using Rob Finnerty's name, since that's all the rage for racists. That's certainly an Irish surname. When the Irish immigrated to the US they faced prejudices like every other ethnic group did. They came en masse during the Irish famine, 1845 and 1852, and were given dangerous and low paying jobs, "No Irish Need Apply" signs were not uncommon.

Political cartoons and negative stereotypes about the Irish were abundant. They were painted as being lazy, drunken, violent, uneducated, and criminal. However since they were lily-white, they were assimilated into corrupt organizations like Tammany Hall.

By the way, Finnerty was charged with homicide and being drunk while driving a car in 2008. Those charges were dropped and he pleaded guilty to OUI in November 2009.

Has Abdul every hit anybody with a car, killing them?

Hey Rob, whatever happened to American values like:

Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.
From Sea to Shining Sea.
The American Dream.
Sweet Land of Liberty
The Last Best Hope of Earth
O Beautiful for Spacious Skies

Republicans are so freaked out by what Trump has done to their party with his insane leadership, they are all in with white nationalistic rhetoric and values.

If anyone is not American, it's you, Finnerty.

If you think Fox has ramped up the Islamophobic outrage over Abdul El-Sayed's victory, you really need to check out what Newsmax was doing last night.

It's hard to put into words how racist this is, but also notice how the anchor lies and calls El-Sayed an "immigrant from another Muslim country."

Fortunately, El Sayed has an answer for the idiocy:

El-Sayed: "If all Mike Rogers got is that 'his name is Abdul, and my name is Mike,' you're gonna be surprised how many people are like, 'Yeah, but that's the Abdul who wants to bring down the price of my groceries and make sure I got healthcare. So yeah, I like Abdul over your Mike from Florida.'"
