Pitiful, pathetic Susan Collins is begging her supporters to chip in as little as 5 measly bucks to help her get enough gas to "keep her team on the road," even though her husband holds thousands in stock in the oil and gas industries and she voted not once, not twice, but several times to keep the war raging that's actively making those gas prices so unaffordable.

Highly controversial Maine Senator Susan Collins is currently in the midst of a statewide reelection campaign tour, from Kittery to Madawaska, and it seems she's really struggling to keep the crew fueled up.

In a campaign email sent out this week, the exceptionally vulnerable Right-wing, MAGA senator's team wrote, "Organizing a tour of this scale takes a lot of coordination, enthusiasm, and quite literally fuel. Will you chip in just $5 today to help us put gas in the tank and keep our team moving forward?"

"Every dollar goes directly toward keeping our team on the road, our events fully stocked, and our bus powered from stop to stop," the campaign email reads.

But she failed to mention in this little plea for pocket change that these exorbitant gas prices are her fault, as Collins cast multiple votes to continue to uphold Donald Trump's chosen war with Iran, the very driving force behind skyrocketing fuel prices.

Senate records confirm that back in March and April, Collins cast multiple votes against halting the United States' involvement in the Iran war.

In a March 4th statement, just days after Trump uncorked his war, Collins wrote, "We cannot tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran. The Iranian regime’s pursuit of nuclear capabilities, ballistic missile development, and support for terrorist proxies pose serious and longstanding threats to the national security of the United States and our allies."

"Passing this resolution now would send the wrong message to Iran and to our troops," she said, referencing a proposed resolution that would have removed US forces from hostilities with Iran. "At this juncture, providing unequivocal support to our service members is critically important, as is ongoing consultation by the administration with Congress."

But by the end of April, with prices soaring and Americans growing increasingly pissed, Susan was suddenly whistling a different Dixie, releasing a new statement in which she tried to claim that she thought this war was a bad idea all along.

"As I have said since these hostilities began, the president’s authority as commander in chief is not without limits," an April 30th statement read. "The Constitution gives Congress an essential role in decisions of war and peace, and the War Powers Act establishes a clear 60-day deadline for Congress to either authorize or end US involvement in foreign hostilities. That deadline is not a suggestion; it is a requirement."

"Further military action against Iran must have a clear mission, achievable goals, and a defined strategy for bringing the conflict to a close. I voted to end the continuation of these military hostilities at this time until such a case is made."

All of this while her own household quietly benefited from the rising prices, thanks to her husband's stocks, with the senator's annual report for 2025 showing that her spouse, Thomas Daffron, holds upwards of $150,000 in stocks issued by petroleum companies ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66.

Buy your own damn gas, Susan.
