Pennsylvania Senator Dave McCormick erroneously claimed Americans are better off with Trump than Biden's economy, and then listed the problems Trump has caused that are fueling people's anger at his policies, which is reflected in all the major polls.

The truth of the matter is that business investments are up in Pennsylvania. We have tens of thousands of new jobs because the President's policies. These are great jobs for welders, pipefitters, steamfitters uh...
We've got in the big beautiful bill the uh... working families tax cut act, a child care tax credit, no tax on tips people are taking advantage of that so there is no doubt that they are economically much better off than they were under President Biden.
At the same time, they still feel the pressure, and as you said, gas prices are up, health care is too expensive, energy prices are still up uh... We need to do a lot more on permitting reform. So I think the way to talk about this is - here's where we are - we've made enormous progress, but here's the pathway ahead and why we need to have republican majorities in the House and the Senate to get more good things done for the American people.
Prices are up across the board on all rents, goods, and services since Trump instituted his illegal tariffs that skyrocketed inflation. Energy costs have exploded since Trump started a war with Iran.
All the issues facing this country are attributable to Trump and the Republican led Congress.
