Trump Is In A Catfight With Fox News Talking Head Over Iran Reporting

It seems Fox isn't reporting Donald Trump's alternate facts, and he's very unhappy about it.

Donald Trump found himself very unhappy with a recent bit of reporting from Fox News on the state of the President's war with Iran, and rather than back into a corner and pander to the pathetic President, Fox's Brett Baier came out swinging.

During a Fox News segment last night, Chief Correspondent Jonathan Hunt gave a straightforward and rather unexciting report on the current state of Donald Trump's war with Iran, telling viewers that there have been "no significant developments" with respect to bringing an end to the conflict that's now well into its sixth month. Hunt noted remarks by the President earlier in the day, in which Trump said no talks were currently underway with Iran.

The network aired a clip of those very remarks, where the President can distinctly be heard saying, "We're not looking to meet or anything."

Hunt reported to viewers that "Iran's economy is being squeezed" by US sanctions implemented by the President.

Frankly, it was some of the most innocuous reporting I've seen come out of the right-wing network.

Yet, for some unknown reason, it really pissed Donald off.

Just shortly after Hunt's segment aired, Trump took to Truth Social with a rage-fueled post, hitting out at both Jonathan Hunt and Brett Baier, who hosts Special Report.

It seems that the president's complaints came in the midst of Baier's live airing of Special Report, and the Fox News host thought there was no better time to address it. Baier read the president's entire post out loud before he proceeded to fact-check him in real time, on live television:

First of all, Jonathan Hunt’s not a flunky. He’s a great reporter.

Second of all, Mr. President, we didn’t say you wanted to meet. In fact, we played a soundbite you didn’t want to meet and there are no negotiations. We said that Treasury Secretary Bessent is hoping to meet with G-20 countries to increase the pressure on Iran and Gulf State allies, including Qatar, are inside Tehran trying to get Iran to agree to concessions. That was what was said.

But the Fox host didn't even stop there.

It seems that Baier was and is actually quite perturbed by the President's outburst, as he continued to troll a few MAGAs on X following the end of his segment, as they complained that he dared to speak out against or correct Donald Trump in any way:

You know things have truly hit a new low when Fox News begins to sound like the voice of reason in any situation.
