The more time I spend on this story, the more repulsed I am of Trump's actions and cowardice.
Trump also proves again that Israeli intelligence runs the White House.
It's been reported that the Israelis claimed there was an Iranian assassination threat against Trump in Turkey after a NATO conference. However, the CIA were very skeptical of the plan and considered it "low confidence." Meaning they didn't find it credible.
That didn't stop Trump from pulling a Houdini. Now you see me, now you don't, exit from Air Force One, while leaving the White House press corps and many of his staffers on the plane to possibly die as pawns to give him cover for his getaway.
What is also appalling is what Trump said to the press corps after his cowardly and spineless actions.
Every question a reporter asked was responded to with a lie. CNN's Kaitlan Collins provided the proof.
"But given what we know now, given the pictures that you can see now, it makes what the president told reporters in that gaggle afterward all the more noteworthy," Collins observed.
Q: Do you think there wasn't a security concern?
TRUMP: No, no. Why would you?
Q: Do you know why they had us close our window blinds? That was not a security concern.
TRUMP: Yeah, well it was probably on a dangerous flight because of the sleazebags that we have to deal with.
Q: Do you think that Iran was possibly thinking trying to...
TRUMP: Well, I mean, if they asked you to close your windows, probably they'd feel that way. They didn't ask me to close mine, but if they did, I would have done it.
Q: Were you aware of any credible threat by Iran against your first one?
TRUMP: Well, I have a threat all the time.
I'm number one on their list before you, but if I go, you go, right?
Q: But was there a specific threat today?TRUMP: Perhaps someday you want to change professions.
What a lying piece of crap. And his words to the press about them all dying are despicable, since he wasn't on the plane. It also points out how meaningless their lives and the lives of his staffers are to him. All of our lives, really.
Collins filled in the gaps.
"If I go, you go," though the president wasn't actually on the same plane as the reporters who were asking him that question.
And when they asked him about why they had to lower their own shades, the president said, well, he wasn't told to lower his.
Well, he was on a secret plane.
He was not on the same plane that those reporters and some White House staffers were flying on.
Trump and Pete Hegseth, who also joined Trump during this ruse, repeatedly spout US military supremacy, spewing toxic masculinity while lying and saying the Iranian military is completely devastated.
Maybe Pete Hegseth should be taking those testosterone shots himself.
Yet, at the drop of a hat, they both turn tail like the cowardly lion from Wizard of Oz and leave everyone else to die
Utter cowardice.
