Despite getting himself into so many of them, it seems Donald Trump doesn't actually understand how war works, or what happens to all your munitions stockpiles when you use them to bomb school kids.
According to a new report from The Washington Post, President Trump is growing increasingly frustrated with the clusterf*ck of a war he personally picked with Iran, and now he's looking to Pete Hegseth for answers on where all his bombs and missiles went.
Reporting broke earlier this week confirming that the United States military is in the midst of a massive shortage of long-range guided missiles and air-defense interceptors, as Donald Trump's chosen war with Iran bleeds (both figuratively and literally) into its 6th month, with no end in sight. Most specifically and most crucially, the US is running dangerously low on Terminal High Altitude Area Defense systems, which creates an exceedingly problematic and dangerous situation for US military personnel who are on the ground in the Middle Eastern countries that Iran has been regularly dropping bombs on.
All told, this massive shortage is allegedly the real driving force behind Trump's recent decisions to pull back on previously planned major strikes against Iran, despite repeatedly threatening to launch the "biggest attack since World War II" against Iran.
In short, the shortage of munitions is making Trump look like a little b*tch, and he really hates looking like a little b*tch.
According to two inside sources familiar with the situation, Trump took those frustrations out on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, demanding to know why he had been "misled" regarding the United States' existing military capabilities.

President Donald Trump’s frustration over the Iran war boiled over at Camp David last week, where he demanded answers from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on why he had apparently been misled on extreme munitions shortages that now threaten to limit military options with Iran, two people familiar told The Washington Post.
The encounter took place on the sidelines of his Cabinet meeting at Camp David on Friday, where Trump vented at Hegseth that he thought the munitions issue “had been fixed,” according to both persons familiar with the conversation, who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity due to fear of retaliation.
Hegseth allegedly pointed the finger at Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg during the heated exchange with Trump, for both the munitions shortage itself and the failure to keep the President informed on the matter.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has already issued the only response she knows how to give, denying WaPo's report entirely, branding the whole thing as "fake news."
"This is 100% fake news," Leavitt told the newspaper. "Literally never happened. And President Trump has the utmost confidence in Secretary Hegseth."
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell echoed similar sentiments, saying, "Secretary Hegseth did not mislead anyone about our munitions posture, and he did not blame Deputy Secretary Feinberg. These claims about depleted stockpiles, internal disagreements, the Secretary’s position on Iran … are equally fictional."
Trump continues to insist that Iran is positively desperate for a peace deal with the US, even though they continue to bomb the hell out of us and laugh in his face about it.
Whatever went on behind closed doors, it seems that someone should explain to Trump that when you use bombs and missiles, those bombs and missiles go bye-bye.
