According to a new report from Zeteo, the Trump White House has already accepted the fact that a humiliating midterm loss is "all but written in the stars" for the Republican Party. Now, they're desperate to control the impending damage that they know will ensue once Democrats regain power.
Several Trump Administration officials and insiders have reportedly confirmed that the White House has hatched a secret plan to obstruct the onslaught of Democratic-led inquiries into Donald Trump's countless crimes that they know will rain down on them after midterm elections.
One Trump White House official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Zeteo, "We will epically stonewall them on everything we can. Everyone is on the same page on this."
The Left is equally confident in their impending victory, leading House Democrats to craft a plan, locked and loaded to "hold Trump to account" in the form of a firestorm of subpoenas and probes with the intent to expose the dirty details surrounding the Trump Administration's gross mishandling of the infamous Epstein Files, the illegal and highly controversial war with Iran, Trump's own shady private business dealings, and even Elon Musk's short-lived Department of Government Efficiency that stripped the US federal government down to a bare skeleton of Trump loyalists.
Zeteo’s Asawin Suebsaeng says the Trump White House is painfully aware of the "onslaught of oversight and accountability" that is soon to come and has already worked to find a way to combat it.
Suebsaeng writes, "The White House is secretly planning as if a Democratic-led House in 2027 is all but written in the stars. According to sources in and close to the White House, senior Trump officials have started crafting a sprawling legal strategy dedicated to resisting House subpoenas for documents or testimony, involving constantly invoking executive privilege, and defying much, if not most, congressional oversight next year and 2028."
"It is set to be the kind of stonewalling conducted by the first Trump White House starting in 2019 – on a cocktail of steroids. Who could blame them, when it looks like the new Trump administration has a mountain of crimes to cover up? (And we’re not even counting the crimes that they know are crimes.)"
Conveniently enough, the Trump-led Department of Justice just released a sweeping legal opinion claiming that Donald Trump has the right to invoke that infamous executive privilege of his with respect to communications with outside advisors, provided that the communications directly relate to "official presidential decisionmaking"; an opinion that will undoubtedly be used as part of Trump's arsenal of defense against the Democrats' efforts to take him to task once they've retaken the majority. While the legal opinion is shaky and will almost assuredly face legal challenges, the Trump White House has already made it undeniably clear that they're prepared to pull out every trick in the book and every bazooka in the bunker to prevent a Democratic Congress from exposing their crimes.
Suebsaeng blistered, "When you have a federal government that is so accustomed to constantly defying the courts, what’s a little more defiance of Congress?"
