Dr. Bandy Lee, a renowned forensic psychiatrist and president of the World Mental Health Coalition, is now sounding the alarm bells on the "extremely dangerous" decline of President Donald Trump's mental health.

Dr. Lee's warning came during her recent appearance on MeidasTouch's "The Weekend Show," where they discussed Trump's unabashed attempts to weave himself into the history of 9/11 as a selfless hero, even though his ever-growing list of lies and tall tales about this nation's greatest tragedy have been repeatedly disproven -- something Dr. Lee says proves just how "fragile he is in his sense of self."

In the days leading up to and then during the 9/11 commemoration ceremony this month, President Trump repeatedly claimed to have been pulled out of the rubble at Ground Zero by a crew of big, burly firefighters, as the building was about to collapse. He also further doubled down on claims that he sent teams of "hundreds" of his own construction crews to respond to the terrorist attack. Countless fact-checkers have thoroughly chewed up and spit back out both claims, and even his own nephew has weighed in to flat-out call him a liar.

Referring to this behavior, Lee said Trump's actions are very similar to a toddler trying to be "king or queen of the universe."

"It is abnormal and pathological when it involves a fully grown adult," she explained, "whether it is because of arrested development or because one has regressed to that state."

Both Trump's mental and physical health have been incessantly called into question throughout the course of his second term, but particularly throughout this year, as the president has displayed increasingly erratic behavior, coupled with near-constant bruises on his hands, a noted drooping on the right side of his face during recent public appearances, and multiple instances in which he has appeared to fall asleep during meetings and public events.

Lee stated that Trump's decision to double down on his 9/11 lies, even though they've been proven to be lies over and over again, is a pointed indicator of the president's immense cognitive stress and strain. She further pointed to the onslaught of bizarre memes Trump has been posting on his social media lately, particularly the AI-generated photo that depicts him blowing up the entire world behind the helm of a spaceship. The doctor referred to these unsettling photos as "alarming indications of how endangered he feels psychologically and how he needs to fight back and become the most powerful and dangerous person on the planet."

"This is where his mind is going," she warned.

Dr. Lee went on to state, in no uncertain terms, that the president's rapidly declining mental state has put the entire world in an "extremely dangerous" position, as Trump's behavior increasingly indicates that he could be willing to irrevocably devastate this entire planet in an effort to save his own self-image.

"The setup that we have is that we have no way of countermanding a, fit or not... there's no way to countermand a nuclear weapon."

Suffice it to say, we are underreacting at this point.
