Sunday was Rep. Glenn Grothman's turn to try to defend the complete clusterfuck that Trump has made of everything. He did as well as you might expect.

GROTHMAN: I said, you know, gas was a lot more expensive under Joe Biden, but people have forgotten that. So we've gone through worse times with that.

I think it's good. He reminds people that the tax cuts were aimed at the average guy, not the wealthy guy, right? Uh, you know, the head of a, of a, a pharmaceutical company, they're not benefiting by a, a deduction on car loan interest-

NEWSNATION HOST: Yeah, but President Biden's not president anymore, President Trump is, so I guess that's the question.

GROTHMAN: Well, I think he has to remind people that things could be worse and things are gonna get better. He's made things a lot better when he took office, then we had the war.

He's gonna make things a lot better again.

I'm curious about how gas prices were higher under Biden when they are hitting record highs now. It can't be both ways.

It also needs to be pointed out that the war didn't just happen. Trump started it illegally. Grothman and his other MAGA toadies have enabled it to go on and on and on. Since Trump started his illegal war, it's obvious that he did not make things better. He started it to grift off the market and distract people from the Epstein files.

But if the polls are to be believed, things look to be getting a whole lot better in just a few months.
