Trump bestie and real estate investor Steve Witkoff praised Putin as a Humanitarian. Trump appointed "Special Envoy" Witkoff, humiliating the United States again.

America, that feeling in your stomach right now? You are feeling shame because Trump bestie and real estate mogul Steve Witkoff praised Putin as a “humanitarian.” U.S. Special Envoy Witkoff groveled to the murderous dictator and humiliated our country once again.

The Guardian reports that Witkoff hailed Putin in a way that embarrassed America and angered allies worldwide. Witkoff kowtowed to the child-killing Russian autocrat:

“You talk so much about President Trump being a humanitarian. You are a humanitarian also sir, and I salute that. I commend you."

WTF Witkoff?

The global reaction to Witkoff's BFF bootlicking behavior was fast and furious.

Attorney Andrew Weinstein posted an angry post on Threads:

" While Russia murders Ukrainians and helps Iran target Americans, Witkoff is busy groveling before Putin as if he’s forgotten whose interests he’s supposed to represent. It's a shameful, humiliating spectacle, unworthy of anyone speaking on behalf of the United States."

There are far too many enraged reactions to Witkoff's Putin flattery to list here. Here are two of my favorites:

Steven Witkoff? You mean THE Steven Witkoff who shows up repeatedly in the Epstein Files alongside Trump? THAT Steven Witkoff? He believes Putin and Trump are humanitarians?

Can a journalists ask Witkoff what Putin's boot taste like when he returns?

Why Witkoff and Jared Met Putin

The real estate tycoon and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, went to Moscow to meet with Putin to bring home American hostage Steve Hubbard. Russia kidnapped Hubbard four years ago, and according to a Ukrainian source, the American was subjected to "brutal torture, including electric shock, nearly daily beatings and isolation confinement."

The Orange President offered his thoughtful take about Hubbard's release:

TRUMP: We gave nothing in exchange for Stephen. We never give anything in exchange for hostages.

TRUMP LITERALLY MOMENTS LATER: If I implemented sanctions on Russia, Steven wouldn't be coming out right now.
