Arvind Venkat, also an ER doctor, said, “I can say very clearly” that people “are going to die” from Republicans’ proposed Medicaid cuts. “I say that having experienced seeing patients before Medicaid was expanded under the Affordable Care Act when 20% of my patients had no insurance, who would come into the emergency department too late for me to treat them."
